Understanding the National Maritime Heritage Corridor

Preserve WA has been developing a plan to define our Maritime Washington National Heritage Area, the first of its kind strictly for maritime, and it has been difficult to picture, (at least for this editor) what it all actually means and what it will change for our use of our shoreline. It has been, and continues to be, important for our marine trades to be part of the discussion lest our sector be left without meaningful consideration. The planning is an ongoing process and the pdf presentation from a June 8th event (linked below) describes the direction being taken and invites further stakeholder participation. This is just one facet of designing our maritime future. Maritime Washington NHA – Whatcom Maritime Assoc 6.8.22
