What is dry ice blasting and cleaning? The process and application of dry ice blasting and cleaning is a non abrasive environmentally safe cleaning, corrosion removal and surface preparation method. Using no chemicals, no water and leaving no secondary waste. It’s EPA, CDC and FDA certified. Making it also ideal for cleaning applications that are used in food production.Dry is different from sandblasting and other medium abrasions, as there is some cross over but each is intended for different applications and results. As the cleaning method is a non abrasive, that is isolated and controlled, there is no heavy projectiles. Large surface applications are achievable, as there is no need for a blasting chamber.Dry ice is broken down into micro particles which freezes and breaks the bond of corrosion. Dry ice also freezes and kills any bacteria as well as can strip and clean the surface. Once the dry ice sublimates into co2 there is nothing left, just the clean up of original removed corrosion. It can clean the corrosion, oils annd grease off of engines, boat haul cleaning, as well as can clean interior of boat surfaces, including wood, plastics, fabrics and leather. It can also be used for surface striping without damaging wood or gaskets and seals. Wood, metal, aluminum, fiberglass, plastics and rubber can all be cleaned simultaneously without the need for disassembly. It is also ideal for cleaning live wells and equipment without worry of chemical contamination or secondary waste streams running back into the water. it also cleans electrical equipment and circuit boards. It is designed to not damage the sub straight.
Using a state of the art particle control equipment system. Applications can be easily adjusted for sensitivity. It can clean the carbon off a turbine blade and at the same time clean the ink off a business card without damaging the paper.FinRae ice blasting and cleaning is a mobile service and depending on the desired application and accessibility, the work can be done well boats and ships are still in the water.
