PTMTA member, Turn Point Design, has sold their catamaran- Felix! The boat was designed by Brandon Davis and built by his team here in Port Townsend as a participant in the R2AK events. The new owners are Beto Pandiani and Igor Bely who will sail the Northwest Passage (Alaska to Greenland) this summer! The last couple months have been spent adapting the boat to their needs… new red paint job, reshaped bows to ride up onto sea ice, larger hiking racks, polar bear protection, etc.
Check out these sailors as, “they are incredible people with very good intentions. They will be making a documentary of the passage to raise awareness of climate change and posting live feeds along the way.”
