I wanted to update you on the last week and fill in details on the events to honor and celebrate Consuelo. The schedule of events remains the same:

Saturday, September 16

11:00 am Funeral Mass @ Saint Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church, Port Townsend. Approximately 1 hour.

1:00 pm Internment @ Saint Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Cemetery, Port Townsend. Approximately 15 minutes.

4:00 pm Celebration of Consuelo’s Life @ the Old Alcohol Plant, Port Hadlock. Approximately… We have the place until 10.

People are welcome to attend however many events they are comfortable with.

My plan for the Celebration is for a relaxed event where people can share their Consuelo stories, look at photos of her life and eat ice cream. I do know that one of Consuelo’s students is planning to sing a song for her. If people want to bring any desserts that may have been favorites of Consuelo, we will have a table available for them to set out and shared. There is a restaurant/bar onsite for people if they want a meal.

I have had a request for the Celebration to be livestreamed for those that are not able to attend. If somebody wishes to volunteer, I would appreciate it.

Regarding me, later this week I will have blood drawn and will get the results next week.
