The Port of Port Townsend will be hosting DH Environmental, Inc of Seattle to conduct certified training in 24-Hour Hazwoper (Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response). Agencies with a spill response mandate are welcome to attend.
Our facility of preference can seat 20 students and exceed all covid compliance standards for distancing and ventilation. The pavilion building at Point Hudson has recently been remodeled to current codes and standards and will provide for a comfortable learning environment. Of the twenty (20) available seats, the Port will be reserving ten (10). If a greater need arises, there is room to expand and remain compliant with covid mandates.
Dates: July 12-14, 2022
Location: Point Hudson Marina & RV Park at the pavilion building.
Course Hours: 8am – 5pm
Instructor: Brian Johnson, DH Environmental
Cost: TBD – Approximately $550 per student. DH Enviro will direct bill each agency in attendance based on estimate and total number of attendees.
The course will include a combination of classroom and hands-on learning. Attendees should dress for any potential weather conditions, especially on day three (3).
If your department is interested and has a mandate for this training, please contact me via email or phone for additional information.
Most Respectfully,
Terry Taylor
