Your PTMTA renewal letter may have reached you by now.

If your business recognizes the value of the Economic Impact Study, Industry marketing and education, and our efforts to make your voices heard by local and state decision makers, please consider making additional donations above our $50 membership. The full service boatyards and the sole proprietors all pay the same to be members in an effort to keep PTMTA membership simple and accessible to all.

Your membership and participation helps support the activities of the PTMTA including:

  • Advocating for pro-marine trades policies and land use.
  • Marketing our local marines trades and services to the PNW and beyond.
  • Highlighting the economic value of our marine trades to the community and governing bodies of Jefferson County and regionally.
  • Member issue resolution facilitation with the Port or related agencies, and integration of member suggestions into our agenda.
  • Help make a difference in the lives of our trades people struggling to make ends meet due to injury and major health disruptions.
  • Advocating for workforce housing, incubator shop spaces, and pro-workforce policies with our community partners.
  • Working with the Port of Port Townsend to offer competitive yard rates and advocating for fair market lease rates and terms.
  • Promoting Best Management Practices for the sustainability of our Marine Trades.

  • Working with the NWSWB & NWMC to promote maritime education, internships and career introductions and opportunities.
  • Adding our industry’s voice to the planning and implementation of Washington’s Maritime Heritage Corridor.

  • General Public Relations for our industry businesses and entrepreneurs.
