Tales From the Titanic

In the annals of maritime history, what strange and tragic event can rival the sinking of the RMS Titanic?  Still, 110 years later, the tragedy evokes horror, fascination and disbelief.  Alternately, the skill, incompetence, negligence, care, bravery, cowardice, heroism, arrogance, humility, suffering, pain, terror, loss and sacrifice on the part of the various individuals involved make the comparatively few survivors’ stories timelessly chilling and fraught with contemporary lessons.

In the warmth and safety of The Artful Sailor’s sail loft, experience the Titanic’s harrowing and haunting tale with sailmaker, author and actor, Emiliano Marino (Raven) as he reads Tales from the Titanic: Stories from the Survivors, and presents the wonder of the doomed ship’s lifeboat #14.  The Sea Tales on a Winter’s Eve reading will be on Sunday, February 12, 2023 at 6:00 pm.    A $20 donation is suggested. A portion of the proceeds will go to Port Townsend Marine Trades Association (PTMTA) Lifeboat Fund where the primary goal is community support for financially challenged marine trades people who have fallen ill or had an accident.
