SEWING MACHINE SKILLS WORKSHOP
The Artful Sailor Sail Exchange Scholarship Fund helped two students take the Fall workshop! We really had a class full and for the first time, everyone got to learn and make a canvas duffel bag on a full-blown industrial machine.
Typically, students bring their own domestic models, and we demonstrate how to modify the home machines for sail and canvas work; but the one person who brought their own machine hauled in an industrial model, table and all! So, that’s how it went, and they got the learning, practice, and machine overhaul by Emiliano.
