Fun local sailing events to participate in!

Thank you to the PT Sailing Association for these events and more!

Mystery Bay “Campout”:  July 20-21

There will be a casual anchor-out at Mystery Bay on Saturday (followed by the Sunday Funday on the 21st). This event is open to all. We plan to get together later in the day (on one of the motherships OTTER BIGHT or KAILITA!) to share an adult beverage and snacks and a yachting tip or two! Rumor has it that there may be fresh crab.

Sunday Funday – July 21

This month there will be a meet up at the PTSA clubhouse at 11:30, and/or a water meet up out near the Tower at 1:00. No Committee boat this month, though possibly “Otter Bight” will fill in. We will determine a general bay tour after everybody meets up at the tower. Please monitor VHF 68.

Saturday August 3 is the Ted Pike Memorial Regatta

You’ll need your anchor and a dinghy/paddle board/swimmer. Beach start at Fort Worden, finish near the boat ramp by the Salmon Club. Click here for details. This multi-faceted race is a lot of fun, adds the challenge of sailing off the anchor and strategies of small boat retrieving and launching. Join all later for grilling, story telling and even rum.  We are also looking for a volunteer or two to help with Race Committee duties – contact Doug Jones doug@traditionalboatworks.net

Plan ahead for August 24,25  Small Boat Regatta!

Lasers, Flying Scotts, Thistles, 420s, other craft? Two days of racing, Saturday night dinner. Information and registration here. If you have been coming on Monday evenings and will need to borrow a boat please indicate that when registering.
