It only takes a couple of complaints to taint the reputation for excellence at our working waterfront. Due to some complaints, the PTMTA was put in the awkward position of creating a ‘disclaimer’ now located on the services directory.

We are all responsible for being our best selves in the work we do so please say something if you see “less than” happening around you. If somebody needs guidance, there is plenty available so ask / make known / share knowledge. Our amazing reputation here is the water that keeps us all afloat. Thank you. (AB)

“The PTMTA is a non-profit organization of volunteers employed in the marine trades. It is the customer’s job to do their due diligence when hiring a PTMTA member. We are not in the position to endorse the quality or skill of any individual. We stand as a unified voice for the marine trades, promoting economic stability in the community and resolving issues that threaten the livelihood of the marine trades in Jefferson County.”
