The PTMTA office at 385 Benedict Street

385 Benedict Street is the address for the Nomura Building, designed by the remarkable Carl Nomura (1922-2015) It is commonly referred to as the Skookum building at the northeast end of Boat Haven. Many may know that the NW School for Woodenboat Building leased the front downstairs area and the EDC Team Jefferson leased offices in the upstairs portion of the  building. Thanks to an ARPA grant, the PTMTA is able to sublease the corner office from the NWSWB as our first ever dedicated office in our 16 years. Being all volunteer, there is no staff keeping set hours yet, but we now have a meeting space and the opportunity to collect PTMTA belongings into one space. Other related uses that could benefit our members and relevant visitors are being considered. Suggestions are welcome. We look forward to the synergy this space can offer with the boat school and the port.
