Hello Marine Trades industry!

You are invited to attend a presentation about our program called Real World Readiness.  This program serves youth furthest from opportunity and gives them the job readiness skills and exposure and preparation to enter into the maritime industry.  As part of this program, we would like to connect the youth to internship opportunities with local marine trades.  It is the details of the internship that we will focus on at the presentation.

This presentation will help you understand what it would take to host an intern from your program.  We will answer questions about host expectations, insurance, age requirements, training, intern management and more.  If you have specific questions you want to make sure we answer, please email them to me.  robin@nwmaritime.org

Date: April 20th

Time: 430-6pm

Location: NWMC with a Zoom option for those who might want that.  It will be recorded.

We are looking to place our first cohort of three youth into a 60-120 hour internship in mid-May.
