In preparation for the PTMTA 2024 Board of Trustees election to be held at the Annual General Membership Meeting on November 2nd, our members have been seeking nominees for the 6 seats opening up at the end of this year. There is still time to nominate yourself or a colleague. Our Board of Trustees should have all 9 seats filled. At this time, we are one seat short. In person voting will be held at the PTMTA Annual General Membership Meeting on November 2nd, 5:30PM 385 Benedict Street…Nomura Building downstairs space. Follow-up voting by drop or mail due by November 15th.

The current list of nominees for the coming 2 years are:
- Newly Nominated: Marshall Brennan representing Admiral Ship Supply
- New nominee: Lou Geraghty (he/them) representing Horus Horizon Marine.
- Melanya Nordstrom representing the PT Shipwright’s Coop. Melanya is completing 2 years on the board serving as our Treasurer. She looks forward to serving another term in a different capacity.
- Ian Weedman representing Brion Toss Rigging. Ian is also seeking a second term in hopes of expanding our Lifeboat Fund.
- Jeremy Lala representing SEA Marine is seeking a second term.

Please do not hesitate to ask questions or nominate yourself. It would be amazing to have more nominees than seats. Business owners can delegate an employee or partner to be their representative. The only members not permitted are those working under the 501C3 rules. Because the same have to remain apolitical, and the PTMTA as a 501C6 is inherently political, there would be a conflict when votes are required. Otherwise, the field is open! Please step forward and join the fun!
