EXPERIENCED OUTBOARD TECHNICIAN
Westside Marine, a long-standing reputable boat and marine services shop in Port Townsend, is
seeking a well-versed outboard mechanic and technician. This position will focus on Outboard
service and electrical installation and trailer service. Must be willing to learn and take on
additional tasks as needed. Will train (and facilitate necessary certification) in some areas for
the right candidate but will need experience (3+ years) in one or more disciplines.
Duties include:
 Rigging New Boats
 Outboard Repair
 Electronics Installation
 Trailer Repair
Regular 5-day work with holidays and vacation time

Qualifications:
 Mechanical aptitude (Marine or automotive mechanical repair)
 Self-motivated, fast learner and able to work with minimal supervision
 Electrical & electronics experience
 Capable of problem solving and decision making
 Familiar with mechanical repair tools
 Own set of tools required
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work is conducted in a fast-paced marine service shop with moderate to loud noise levels. The
technician will be required to be in production areas in the shop, yard, onboard vessels, and
occasionally go to off-site projects. Applicant must be able to frequently bend, squat, crawl,
twist, and may be required to lift up to 50 pounds.

Pay Range: $28-32/hr DOE
